Our Mission
Our mission is to work with communities to reduce poverty, improve child nutrition and living conditions, provide educational opportunities and ultimately to spread the gospel.
In September 2021 Heavn Sent consolidated and transitioned from working in two geographical locations in Kenya to one. Originally when we started this ministry in 2020, we supported the farming community of Ol Kalou and a new church plant in Kiambu, a growing suburb of Nairobi.
Pastor Joy headed our previous efforts in Ol Kalou which focused on supporting families in need. Our strategy was to address the immediate humanitarian needs of our Heavn Sent families while continuing to grow the school reach, for the longer term impact on poverty reduction. Providing monthly food packages, vegetable seeds for their gardens and betterment of housing conditions were also a key part of this ministry.
In September 2021, Pastor Joy tendered her resignation from Heavn Sent Ministries and indicated she would be continuing the operations with her own and others resources which we were unable to approve. (eg. Building more classrooms on her personal property). We continue to love her heart for the people and wish Pastor Joy well in her continued efforts.
Pastor Joy’s departure opened the door for additional ministry support and new programs at the Kiambu site. Pastor Robert welcomed this change with enthusiasm as it will allow him to grow the humanitarian aspects of the ministry in Kiambu. Worship City has already begun distributing food packages to many impoverished families. Plans are being developed for a daycare service to allow single parents to search for work as their children are being cared for in a safe and supportive environment. Hope is that this will continue to develop into a primary school setting as modelled in the Ol Kalou community. Our gallery of photos will introduce you to some of the families we will be supporting on a regular basis.
Identify and qualify up to 8 impoverished families and provide monthly food & support packages
then pay for school related expenses for older children and identify projects to help them better their own living conditions.
Assess educational needs of families living in close proximity to Worship City.
Provide places for people to regularly worship God and share the Gospel
continue to assist Worship City with infrastructure costs as their church develops.
